                                           13 Day Tour of Zimbabwe and Botswana


Zimbabwe is truly unique, being one of the few places in the world where you can gaze upon hundreds of species of wildlife, enjoy a culture of a people that goes back thousands of years as well as dine and lodge in some of the most luxurious remote bush lodges in Africa.

Your thirteen day safari will take you on a visit to Victoria Falls, the seventh wonder of the natural world and spend two days in a safari lodge in Zimbabwe's largest national park Hwange, You then be treated to the wonders of the Okavango Delta by dugout canoe (mokoro) and enjoy the luxury of a true wilderness lodge. The price of the tour includes accommodations and all meals, with the exception of the Afton House in Johannesburg which is bed and breakfast only. Also included are all transportation cost originating from Johannesburg including domestic flights and ground transfers within Zimbabwe.

Day 1 - Depart Johannesburg in the morning arriving in Harare late morning. You will overnight outside of Harare and will have the afternoon to sightsee and shop.

Days 2 & 3 - Depart Harare in the morning via commercial airline arriving at Lake Kariba shortly before noon. Here you will spend the next two nights aboard self-contained yacht with private cabins. You will be taken by tender boat to shore where you will be guided on foot through Matusadona National Park which borders the shores of Lake Kariba. In Matusadona you will have the opportunities see game such as elephant, cape buffalo as well as several species of antelope. Matusadona is also one of the few places in Africa where the black rhino can be viewed in its natural habitat.

Day 4 - Depart from Kariba via commercial airline arriving in Victoria Falls in the early afternoon. Charter flight into Hwange National Park.

Days 5 - 7 - Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is Zimbabwe's largest national park encompassing more than 14,000 square kilometers. Hwange boasts one of the largest concentrations of animals and birds in all of Africa. There are over 100 species of animals and over 400 species of birds. large numbers of elephants can still be seen congregating around the water holes in Hwange. Accommodations are a comfortable wilderness safari lodge with all the amenities of home. The excursions on foot and by vehicle into Hwange National Park are sure to provide you with exciting encounters of host of African animals.

Day 8 - Charter flight to Victoria Falls where you will be accommodated at the famous Victoria Falls Hotel. Here you will have the privilege of witnessing one of the seven wonders of the natural world, "Victoria Falls". You will also have the opportunity to wander the town and shop at the many gift kiosks where local craftsman sell their wares.

Days 9-11 - Travel from Victoria Falls to Kusane where you will board a charter flight into the famous Okavango Delta in Botswana. While in Botswana you will have the opportunity to witness the many animals that inhabit this region from traditional dugout canoes, (Mokoros) and land cruisers.

Day 11 - Depart from Botswana and fly back to Johannesburg where you will be met by one of our representatives and taken to the Afton Guest house for the evening.

Day 12 - Day tour of Johannesburg and the Capitol of South Africa, Pretoria Here you will have ample time to take in the sights and shop for souvenirs prior to leaving for home the next day.
