Tim Farren

Tim started Farren Safaris in 1995 after fulfilling a lifelong dream by travelling to Africa and spending close to a month on safari in Zimbabwe. At the conclusion of this safari he set out to build a safari company that would allow him to share the authentic Africa he had come to know and love with others. Tim has spent several months in Africa over the years in order to personally visit and select the lodges we utilize for our safaris today.

Valerie Farren

Valerie is an invaluable part of Farren Safaris. As office manager she is responsible for ensuring all information and dates are forwarded to our partners in Africa and confirming all details for every safari are seen to and all necessary paperwork is in order. Valerie handles most of the day to day operations of the business and deserves a lot more credit than we usually give her. Valerie has travelled extensively throughout South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Leon Rossouw: is a native Zimbabwean who currently lives in Maine, but has spent the better part of his life in the African bush. As a professional hunter & safari guide, he’s guided hunters to some exceptional trophies, and conducted mobile tented “fly camp” safaris for clients with photographic interests. As a safari consultant for Farren Safaris, Leon now focuses his attention on giving our prospective clients valuable information about what to expect and look forward to on their African adventure.

Conroy Halgren

Our partner and your host Conroy Hallgren resides full time in South Africa. Conroy has been actively involved in the safari business and African conservation for twenty-five years. Conroy was born and raised in the African bush and at a very early age developed a deep love, respect and an understanding of the wildlife, people and cultures of Africa.  Conroy has been guiding clients throughout Southern  Africa on a full time basis for over two decades and has a wealth of knowledge and experience conducting tours, safaris and leading groups of guests on photographic and other expeditions.
